System Shock: Rewired is the very first full fan made singleplayer campaign for the original System Shock in over 24 years! 3 brand new levels with branching paths, 4 new cyberspace sections, new puzzles, new audiologs (currently text only), new on-screen text and so much more awaits in the now dark corridors of the hospital ship UNN Bismarck. Playable with all existing versions of System Shock (Enhanced Edition recommended). What are you waiting for? SHODAN waits for your return! BEFORE INSTALLATION:
=====================
It is described in 6 easy steps, how to install System Shock Rewired for your System Shock installation. Updating the files with a new version will not update the savgegames of a previous version. You have to start a new game with each update to the mod. The new audiologs don’t have audio provided. You have to set ingame messages to display either text or both to be able to enjoy them. The mod comes with a English and German language file, therefore also make sure to change the language to English or German respectively.
INSTALLATION STEP BY STEP:

1. Locate archive.dat, cybstrng.res, gerstrng.res, citalog.res, geralog.res, and frnalog.res
in your system shock installation folder and make a backup of the files.
2. Copy archive.dat, cybstrng.res, gerstrng.res, citalog.res, geralog.res, and frnalog.res
from the zip-file you just downloaded and overwrite the mentioned files from step 1.
3. Start the game.
4. Select New Game from the title screen, enter your name and select the difficulty that you want to use. Then click on START.
5. Click away the HELP-SCREEN with spacebar and hit “ESC”. Go to AUDIO -> AUDIO-OPTIONS. Click on Messages until Messages Both is selected. Then click on RETURN.
6. Hit “ESC” once more and Go to OPTIONS and select: Language: English OR German. Then click on RETURN/ZURUECK.
Now enjoy your adventure on the UNN Bismarck.

– It might happen that the SHODAN critter sprite becomes invisible but she will still sit on her throne, so keep shooting if that happens.
– Some dead critters that died too close to a door want you to loot them and bug you about it everytime you go through the door.
